Quote: is it worth it to purchase the 1970-S small date? To be honest, it is hard for me to even tell the difference in the small date. As a completionist, I had to get one but I opted for a graded one and that cost me $50. Only you can decide if it is worth it. I got mine from Old Pueblo Coin online and debated on spending the money but I don't regret it. Sure, I could have gotten alot of other coins for that amount but it's done and paid off so now I can focus on other coins. My hardest part is deciding on which collection since I have so many going on at once.

I mean, 50 bucks isn't too bad! I've seen them going for 70-80 or closer to 100 sometimes. That is an amount I would not pay.
But yeah, I dunno. Perhaps I'll just keep it in mind. And I think you are right, Seamonkey. It's really hard to tell. I can tell the difference more so on the 1960 small/large date varieties over the 70-S.

Thank you, my friends. I've had a minor set back unfortunately with some of the coins I've had recently. I basically had to return the 14-S and 24-D due to financial constraints. Be that as it may, I will obtain these coins eventually for good. So, the 1914-S and 24-D are the only coins I am missing now. After that, I will consider my album "complete" at least within my obtainable means. I recently obtained these two. The 1960 small date was the only coin I've been missing out of the 1960's varieties and I finally have it. It didn't break the bank, either. I was able to get all of them in a set for around 10 dollars. I had the large date, as this is way more common, but this is a "BU" upgrade for me. I feel kind of silly making some purchases that I thought I could squeak by with, but sometimes life throws you a curveball. Kind of crazy the amount of progress I've made in this album though in less than a year.
