Thanks, guys. Should I upgrade my wheat cents from 1947-1958 to all BU? Or should I just leave as is? I've been doing a bit of upgrading in this album, namely in the next page. Memorial cents are cheap however in BU. I am thinking that they are obviously most likely cheaper than wheat cents, regardless of year, in BU.

I do, too. I wouldn't be mad though if they all matched eventually.

I am averse to upgrades. I get sentimental thinking about removing and replacing a coin I have had for months years decades.

Quote:It's cheaper too Yes. That is correct. Also, I can look through my albums and see how my budget and goals have evolved over nearly 48 years of collecting.

Absolutly love this topic. My formative years were engrossed with LWC. To this day my fondest folders and albums are LWC. It's likely I'll never part with them. My deep dive in any coin type always includes making a workable EXCEL spreadsheet. Rather then sorting by date I sort by US mintage quantity.

There's a lot going on in here I got several more coins today, the 1968 and the 1970 in BU. So this marks the end of my "upgrading" on this page. Definitely looks much nicer IMO. It took minimal fundage to upgrade coins. A few of the coins are still not the best, but good enough for me

Several of the coins on this page are also proofs, and that's good enough for me. I like my business strikes and the occasional proof. The 66 and 67 are "proof-like" SMS 1971-S is a proof And, of course, this 1970 S is a proof. No small date.
