I found this unusual which is part of the reason I bought it. Its a graded coin MS65.

Interesting example. Mint marks were applied to the die by hand back then. I assume this one must have been on Monday morning or a Friday afternoon.

Thanks. I did not know that. It adds interest to the coin I believe. Ive never seen anything like it before.

That reverse and the very high O placement looks like it could be a VAM-17. Nice coin!

When I first saw the coin right away I thought it had an interesting VAM. Sevel things line up right, others its hard to see. The slab is a badly scratched slab and doesn't help things much. I balance WB and put it on the scope again later and we'll see what we can see.

The date position looks correct for VAM-17 as well.

I dont know. The slab aint helping but from what I can see it probably is VAM 17. I'm surprised the grader didn't catch it, or maybe unless its a top 100 they dont bother ?

PCGS won't attribute a VAM unless it's specifically requested (for a fee).
