If that becomes a reality I would give serious consideration to continue ASE collecting. For now I'm on the hook for whatever is to come!

I found the following on CoinWorld.com :

On Aug. 20, the Mint plans to release another limited edition Proof 2025-W American Eagle silver dollar with a laser beam privy mark

U.S. Mint spokeswoman Sharon McPike provided some details about the Aug. 20 product:
* It is a one-of-a-kind chance to acquire an American Eagle silver dollar struck from master tooling created using the latest technology (laser engraving).
* The offered coins result from the United States Mint's first time using this new process for the American Eagle silver dollar program.
* All subsequent programs moving forward (2026 and beyond) will incorporate this technology.

I am not sure if this means that the dies used to make the ASEs are Laser Engraved and all future ones will be made this way (Just speculation on my part)

I can't figure out what it's supposed to be - just a stylized laser wing-ding?
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

I believe it represents laser engraving, at least according to data collected in an image search.

Edit to add: A search of Mojojojo's image says it is a common symbol representing a laser or laser beam or laser nearby.
