I bought this coin / token out of a bin of foreign coins.
I tried buy had no luck figuring it out.

That is a super-interesting piece you have there @dman. It looks to me like a Canadian token, more specifically, a Daniel and Benjamin True Blacksmith Token. Here is a link to what seems like a similar piece, but I will defer to our experts North of the border to confirm.

Circa 1835. Made by Daniel and Benjamin True in Troy, NY.

I thought it was a "true" token and didn't realize that it was just their last name. Haha.
