om617 New Member United States 24 Posts	Posted 05/28/2009 7:25 pm I found both of these tens in circulation about ten years ago and was wondering if I have anything more than twenty dollars. I myself have a habit of saving all older notes that I get. (would've been better off buying silver with the money) Report this Post to the Staff
om617 New Member United States 24 Posts	Posted 05/28/2009 7:49 pm Funny you should mention buying silver instead of hanging on to old bills - that was the first thought I had when I was going though my old "stuff" and uncovered them! The '50 does have "190" written on the back, but it is in pencil. Would careful application of a fancy art-class-grade eraser be safe to attempt, or should I leave it alone? I collect coins and have a large accumulation of paper pulled from circulation. I would sit tight and wait, somebody should be here later to advise you. John1 Moderator United States 56855 Posts	Posted 05/28/2009 10:14 pm My Paper Money Values magazine lists the 1950 B STAR note in VF condition for $150.00,1934 A $25.00 in EF. As far as using an eraser I think it would leave a "bright" spot as well as leaving a "fuzzy" appearance to the paper. John1 Report this Post to the Staff
