1974 S Lincoln Cent Large Date Doubled Die Obverse / DDO / Doubled Die Reverse / DDR

Theartofsarah New Member United States 25 Posts	Posted 06/12/2025 11:46 am What do yall think about this? This coin has crazy errors and I need input on it. If its errors are legit and if this is something that I should send to PCGS to get certified. The coin itself is in great condition and while not mint, the errors might make it worth certifying. The S mint mark appears to be the same variety as the '40s mint mark and the ball on the serif is inverted. There are 3 layers of imprint on the mint mark. JimmyD Bedrock of the Community Canada 21678 Posts	Posted 06/12/2025 11:59 am I see no errors on your cent. I do see some Die Deterioration Doubling and Machine Doubling.. Certainly not worth spending $55-60.00 on getting graded as these are not considered errors. Report this Post to the Staff

There is Machine Doubling on both sides of the coin, along with Die Deterioration. You also have a mint mark that comes from a punch that was used way back in the early 40's and then brought back in service for some reason. Here are some links.
