I bought this from the ebay error coins category for $8. I figured it was time to add a Cud to my collection. This example seemed to be a decent Cud on a big coin in nice condition. Given the position on the obverse between TY, I would guess this is CU-50c-1983P-01.
I am still trying to get an understanding of pricing for this type of mint error. It's self-evident that a large Cud, especially one that spills onto the coin face, is worth considerably more. But what are the guidelines on price? The few sites I have seen with price guidelines also happen to be way overblown compared to real ebay transaction prices on errors like die clashes.
