The 1897 Morgan is an enigma: low mintage, high survival rate, decent strike, gun metal gray appearance on most, and thanks to 1897 being Lavere Redfield's birth year and the only date he specifically selected to hoard lots of them have peach juice stain spots.

VAM on this coin. I see the angled die crack between the "E" of ONE and the "D" of Dollar, the E-W die scratches inside the bow, the date position, and I think I can make out the doubling on the cap and a couple of the stars. You may very well have
1897 VAM-8, a "Hot 50" Morgan, with doubled stars and cap. That one's a bit of a toughie to find, and is in demand.
As for grade, it looks like an easy bourse floor 63. The chatter doesn't distract too much, and the only deeper scratch is the short one in front of the nose. IMHO, it is an UNC and would make MS-63. Nice coin.
