Appears 2025 will be the last year for the AI $1 Proof Set but the Mint will still be producing the Reverse Proof Set. Seems odd to stop it in the middle of series. From the Mints website under subscriptions... Thank you for subscribing to the American Innovation $1 Coin Proof Set. There are currently no further releases scheduled for this product beyond 2025 as we create new numismatic products to enhance your collection. We hope you continue to cherish the items you've received with this product subscription and thank you for your loyalty to Mint products. The American Innovation $1 Coin Reverse Proof Set will continue in 2026.

That's really strange. I don't see them completely canceling a line of proof coins in the middle the series. More likely is that they're adding them to the regular proof set. If so, that is extremely disappointing, because you know they'll raise the price of the proof set astronomically to compensate. I sure hope they don't do the same for the mint set.

Where exactly are you seeing this? I clicked on my subscription to AI dollar proof set and don't see it. I went in to the subscription link under the shop tab from the home page and don't see this there either.

I went to the 2025 AI proof set product directly and clicked on the subscription tab and it shows up.

I hope they don't either or it will be as bad as the cost of the silver proof set. I don't even know why they came out the AI dollar since they already have the Native American $1 coin. They need to stop making all these "collectable" versions and just stick with regular coinage. It's bad enough that there is an S mint quarter that is not included in the mint set and that anyone that just wants one for their collection has to buy it third party. I can't see buying a whole roll when all I want is one coin.

Nothing in the law requires more than that they be minted. And zero IS a quantity... https://uscode.house.gov/statutes/pl/115/197.pdfQuote: (ii) NUMBER OF COINS OF EACH DESIGN.-The Secretary shall prescribe, on the basis of such factors as the Secretary determines to be appropriate, the number of $1 coins that shall be issued with each of the designs selected for each year of the period referred to in paragraph (1).

Yup, website really says that. Strange
I bought the Dansco P&D 7188 relabeled all the holes and used that as my proof and reverse proof album. This year fills up the last page.

While, I have the complete set to date of Proofs, if they mint the Reverse Proof, I'll just switch to those. I'm only collecting one coin, so doesn't really matter to see what it is (proof or reverse proof).

The only way to be sure is to look at the obverse.

Sorry I wasn't clear. I also have the P&D for each coin. So four coins for each state. That's how the album gets filled up this year.

I collected the Reverse Proof Singles (In the elaborate packaging) from 2018 - 2020, and was glad they switched to the 4 coin sets in 2021. I plan to collect the whole series; with this year's issue, 28 of the 50 states + DC, PR, Guam, Amer Samoa, VI, and Nothern Mariana Islands remain. That's seven more years for the program to run ( 2026 - 2032 ) IF the Mint doesn't pull the plug on the reverse proofs as they have with the standard proofs. CollegeBarbers' speculation that the standard proof innovation dollars could be added to the proof sets makes a ton of sense; with the end of the American Women Quarters program in 2025, the proof set seems a likely landing zone. Thank you seamonkey for the head's up.
