Although those are very nice and complete steps, that isn't uncommon for 1943-D nickels.
I assume we are talking about grade for this coin because it's DDR-004?

Thanks Brandmeister.. Noooooo, I did not even look for a possible DDR. I need to slow down a bit and do a better job of checking.

http://www.varietyvista.com/04a%20J...3DDDR004.htmLooks like a strong candidate to me. The bottom serifs of EPU look blocky and thick. It has the right angle forked crack in Jefferson's hair. Maybe take some magnified pictures of those, and post on the varieties forum? =)

Nice coin! I think it would qualify as Full Steps.
Errers and Varietys.

It likely would be judged FS by a TPG, but they are so inconsistent it's impossible to say. There is a significant area of weakness between the 3rd and 4th steps to the right side (above E). By the photo it appears the step definition is continuous albeit weak. If the coin does not make FS, that is the reason why. Nice clear photos.
Take a look at my other hobby ... http://www.jk-dk.art

That scrape on the cheek might be a problem, but it looks full steps to me.
