1944 Mercury Dime With W Mintmark - Coin Community Forum

I don't have many US coins but I came across this Mercury dime with a W mintmark and can't find much about the dime with this mintmark. Any idea of mintage? Is is as common as the other mintmark for this year? I know there were a ton of them made. I am so sorry the photos are so bad Thanks! Report this Post to the Staff

coin rejector Pillar of the Community United States 2861 Posts	Posted 09/19/2025 2:09 pm What you are seeing is the designer initials. The mint mark would be located on the reverse but since yours does not have one, it would be a Philadelphia mint. Report this Post to the Staff
