Could the harsh cleaning and wear account for it?

Numista says 9.45 grams, but I suppose 9.2 grams is in the tolerance range.

It's reading 8.73 grams. That's a big difference cleaned or not. The lines look parallel not circular as in cleaning. Could be a plachete error.

May have and most likely started its life as a underweight coin, however with that harsh cleaning (which it has) makes coin hardly collectable. I would carry it around in my pocket for a few years which would reduce the cleaning lines greatly.

This poor coin has been through a lot. That cleaning kills any value it had before.
