Just for the record, the exact same BU random year Morgan dollars I bought from APMEX at $55/coin are now selling there for $58.39 (the price of silver has gone from $45/oz to $50.50/oz at the time I write this). A "mini monster box" of the same coins (which is just the same 100 coins I purchased, but in fancy packaging) is selling there for $5895.

Assuming silver stays at this price or goes higher, I'm going to remain very happy with my purchase. If it ever drops back down to $20 or so, perhaps not so much...

I know the feeling very well. Well done if you can afford. I saved a nice silver coin today.

But I think that silver is now a sell for things you are not attached to.

Silver has gone from $45/oz when I purchased these to $53/oz, and the APMEX price on these coins has been rising steadily as a result. Right now, the same coins I bought are $60.39 apiece (when purchased in quantities of 100 or more), compared to the $54.99 I paid per coin. So that's a $5.40 increase per coin, which means I would have had to pay an extra $540 for the 100 coins if I bought them now.

Yeah, I'm not feeling too bad about "overpaying" for these right now...
