All right, so in a previous thread I described how I recently "rescued" 100 BU Morgan dollars from being melted down by buying them from APMEX. What I didn't mention, however, was my wife wasn't particularly keen on the idea and it took a good deal of convincing and cajoling for her to finally go along with it.

Well, after the coins came in and I was so impressed with how nice they were, I went back to APMEX and discovered that they sell "mini monster boxes" that hold 100 Morgan dollars (five tubes of 20) in addition to selling individual Morgan dollars and 20-coin tubes or Morgan dollars like the ones I bought. I thought the price was very reasonable and so, this time without even bothering to consult my wife, I decided to buy three of them! Because, of course, it's always easier to get forgiveness than permission, right?

They just arrived via FedEx a few minutes ago:

When I showed them to my wife, she was rather upset at me. Until, that is, I pointed out that I actually just bought the boxes themselves for $10 each, and not the coins:

Fortunately, my wife is not the sort of person to start throwing heavy objects before at least giving me the opportunity to explain myself...

Oh, and FYI, I don't actually own 300 Morgan dollars (yet), but these also hold rolls of Peace dollars and I probably do have at least three hundred of Peace and Morgan dollars combined, so it's all good.

Nice boxes, barryg - those look like an excellent way to store tubes of dollars. I've got a bunch of "20 tubes" in a box and more in cardboard 2X2 boxes. These would be a much better storage option.
Can you verify that a Morgan in a 2X2 will fit in these boxes? Thanks!

Doesn't look like it, Hondo. The box is designed to hold the 20-coin square tubes snugly, and I could only get a 2x2 to fit in at a slight diagonal:

Thank you, barryg! The ones in 2X2s will have to stay in their 2X2 boxes for now. But these would work well for all the loose tubes of Morgans that I have (better than the shoe box they're in now).

Nice twist to the story @barry! I too thought that you had purchased the coins to fit into those neat holders.
