Quote: Yup only us true Gen-X'ers knows this. Where you also one of those kids that had to find the front door key under the mat to let yourself in? Because parents were never home on time?

Aahh yes, Also known as the latch key kids or latch key kids generation. Parents working, let yourself in after school, do homework, make a sandwich, watch TV after or go visit friends. Almost like being a young bachelor. My mom eventually just stuck with being a homemaker and only one working parent, dad. But we had our own keys still, and came and went as we pleased as kids. As long as we did what we needed doing. No one ever worried we'd be kidnapped or anything, neighbors looked out and watched over each other, good times. Different world. Edit: Gen-X was also known as "the TV was our baby sitter" generation, for reasons described above.

$86 is still the buy zone, good support there so far.
But it is critical that the move to $93+ occurs prior to any break below the $85-$84 bail out zone or "look out below" price.

Comex OI dropped by 1/2 today and those all appear to have been rolled into May. Leaving just enough Silver in the vaults to meet Friday's order. But now the May contracts are more than the Silver on hand. So the crisis has just been kicked down the road into May.

Quote: Breakfast Club I loved that movie; have watched it at least five times. If we are discussing generations in a silver thread, I am gonna have to chime in and call myself a member of the 'silver generation' because I was born when Mercury dimes and Walking Liberty halves were still being minted. Yeah, I am probably older than all of you but I can still ride motorcycles on a good day, and my hair keeps growing. It is just the luck of the genetic draw, with a bit of astrology thrown in. My parents likely would have lived to a hundred if only they had listened to their kids who hated their tobacco habits. I started coin collecting around age seven with pennies, like many kids did back then, and eventually put together near complete sets of the above two mentioned coin series before I turned eighteen, just from allowance money, found coins and funds earned from neighborhood snow shoveling in winter. Unfortunately that original collection was stolen from the unlocked house during a family summer vacation to the Seattle Worlds Fair. It was a heartbreak one does not recover from. NEVER tell your childhood so-called friends that you collect coins, or show them your collection. The storyteller in me could ramble on, but that's enough history for now. Meanwhile it is getting harder each day to make sense of these bouncy-bouncy markets, amid the general chaos and uncertainty of the world we live in nowadays. This forum is an invaluable resource allowing all of us to keep in touch, share experience and insights, as well as bits and pieces from our individual lives. For these small things I am grateful, and I hope the opportunity continues. Best wishes to everyone, and keep the stories coming.

I presume that many of the big players that were buying and holding, expecting for COMEX to not be able to make the March deliveries, will be wanting to dump their loads soon and wait for May.. Be ready, I know I am.

Ahh yes these are the stories that fascinate me the most when talking to older collectors. For me growing up in the 70's 80's the best I could do, and what I looked forward to finding the most in pocket change, and my families pocket change, was wheaties and Eisenhower dollars. That's what got me started.

I grew up in the same era, but never found any Eisenhower dollars in pocket change. Instead, though, my father used to give me one Eisenhower dollar for each "A" I received on my report card each term. And, yes, I spent them on candy and other junk.
