$78.06 got violated this morning, with the new low of the day now at $77.12 And with $81 now acting like a ceiling, look out if the overnight lows get retested in the regular trading hours.

Quote: Anyone looking at recent overall market levels (DOW, S&P, NASDAQ, Oil, Treasuries, U.S. Dollar, etc) and the current global economic and geopolitical risks could plainly see the risk of a market crash. Market crashes are indiscriminate and take down practically everything around them. Support levels fold like tissue paper. Doesn't matter how much you love or hate silver. Lets all hope for a great weekend and a good future. I think charts are less important at this point with all the geopolitics at the moment. It is going to be choppy and could go either direction.

Oil is the leading indicator right now to which direction we go in, but yeah Oil and geopolitics are leading the markets around by the nose, up, down and sideways.

There wasn't any big move in oil either when that happened. Maybe just a shake out or retest of support.

Oh Well, I got nothing interesting to report today from the looks of things on my screen. Only thing of note is that the SLV Put that I bought last Friday is Up in the green. The silver ETF has been going down little by little for the past 6 trading days.

Last night around 11pm EST, Silver tapped on the floor of $78 again, all meanwhile Oil was dipping and the Dollar was moving sideways. So I'll attribute the move lower to just Silver showing it's weakness. I'm seeing the same thing again right now in the pre-market, as silver taps on $78 again, under similar conditions as last night. There's some prior support lower at around $75'ish. And under the current market conditions, the buyers just aren't stepping in here yet. There have been small bounces on the way down but so far none have held. Without buyers the market naturally moves towards new price discovery zones, areas with more buyers, where there might be higher liquidity. Right now that's lower, unless something changes that brings the buyer's rushing back in.
