Gold and Silver along with U.S. equities futures opened lower across the board Sunday night, while WTI and US Dollar both opened higher. To recap last week, Silver continued a down trend hitting a low of $73.84 early Friday morning in the overnight trading. Friday saw a slight recovery and support across the metals and markets, thanks to the usual repetitive Friday jawboning headlines that started to juice the market Up at around 10 am. With the usual hopium of continued Middle Eastern negotiations. That turned out to be false news. And we saw prices start to go lower at the end of trading Friday because of that. So back to reality today with Silver starting the week trying to hang on to $75 and Gold trying to hang on to $4700. And I'm watching to see if they go below Fridays lows at any point between now and the start of regular trading hours on Monday.

Quote: We will see $2 gasoline before $30 silver. I doubt we're going to see either of those things happen in the future. But, I'm not a flag waving fan of low fossil fuel prices. Eventually, we're going to have to realize that it's a finite planet and infinite growth will kill us. The ONLY thing that motivates people to conserve, and thereby reduce their footprint, is higher prices. Sad, but true. PV and wind will win the war economically, and our life support system, aka the biosphere, is grateful.

Quote: Eventually, we're going to have to realize that it's a finite planet and infinite growth will kill us. We then become the fossil fuels for the next sentient species. You are preaching to this choir of one.

A quiet stable Monday morning for a change, Silver trying to hold steady around $75. gold around $4700. There's nothing on the financial calendar for today that could potentially move the Market's. The anticipation is for the later half of the week when Big Tech earnings come out and interest rate talk. That will spell out whether the rally continues or falls. Silver and Gold likely will go along for the ride. Until then just waiting for something to break. And watching for Silver and Gold to hold above Friday's lows.

The Down trend resumed overnight with Silver and Gold both breached Fridays lows and are continuing to drop in the pre market hours. Silver is currently at $71.95 and Gold at $4581. Silver is near a prior support level so it should get a bounce, even if just temporarily.

Yeah wasn't much of a bounce was it. Some strong downward pressure in the markets today. Silver only down 2.5% so far. Let's see if $70 holds up today.

Future's were under pressure last night by Oil surging again and pushing $104 a barrel. Dollar is also up. Silver got pushed back down to $72 and Gold back down to $4500 overnight and in the pre-market hour's. Exciting day on the calendar this afternoon, they'll be interset rate talk, Powell's last address, and the big boy's leading this "all time high" tech rally will report earnings and future outlook at the end of day. What they say is expected to send the Market's on a roller coaster ride. Silver and Gold should buckle up for the ride later today. Get your coffees and espresso ready, don't wanna miss it. .
