Quote: Some wild swings again last night in after-hours trading, including a drop of more than $2 right after midnight, but here we are once again comfortably above $53. yep. I watched them. had me wondering if those were smackdowns or just normal dips, but I notice that today just after noon the same thing happened, again for both metals (Au & Ag). it didn't really seem to faze either of them. if those were smackdowns, they're not really having the effect they used to have. the downturns are short-lived.

I'd really like to know how sales of silver bullion are faring. Are us "little guys" grabbing what they can now because of FOMO?

I'm not buying bullion at the moment. I don't chase momentum, nor wanting to buy during a parabolic spike. Are you Hondo?

I'm buying a bit more than usual, but not Silverskunk-style buying. Generally coins for my collection, because if silver keeps rocketing up they'll just be more painful to obtain in the future.

Not sure what's happening, but silver just started dropping sharply from $54 down to just below $52. I guess the question now is whether silver is finally ready to drop back below $50...

I will add that it's been a strange experience to find ASE's, Morgans and Peace dollars priced $10 or so under melt as it increased so fast and the stores don't want to relabel! They all kindly honor the tags. One store started labelling new ones as "Spot + 1" to get around it

I'm starting to gather up sterling to have melted. 2.7 kilos of junk and I haven't started on the flatware yet. 3 full sets plus much more that I picked up at estate sales back when silver was about $15/oz.

Sweet! I saw what I thought was the writing on the wall yesterday with a penny stock silver mining company I bought about 6000 shares in a few years ago. I was right but missed the boat on selling off half the shares to buy back again today. It seems like I'm always a day late and a dollar short....

Quote: You should have taken the bet, Jbuck! What, and agitate the god's of quantum uncertainty? No thank you! Me betting on something is a sure fire way to push that something in the opposite direction. And before anyone gets any ideas, I do not gamble. At all. Did you know that gambling is a sin?
