Hi,
I guess my one cent Australia coin didn't pass as DDO coin, but wait, surely my other New Zealand coin will passed the test because the doubling on this New Zealand five cents 1972 is totally different from the Australian one cents 1967 ones...

Here, have a look at my New Zealand 5 cents 1972 coin,

And give your views, comments and opinions on it.

And I thank you for the comments on the previous post that I have just posted before this one

That is also Machine Doubling.
Note the reduced devices with the step like appearance.
A Doubled Die would increase the size of the devices.

Since a doubled die is actually two of the same image side by side, the original and the doubling will be identical in contour/appearance. Your letters all have a flat step nest to the letters that are normally contoured on their very tops.

Making this too simplistic: A very tiny ant crawling over a true double die's (let's say the) number 1 in the date would go over one round topped speed bump. It then would encounter an identical round topped speed bump.

With Machine Doubling the ant would first encounter a round topped speed bump, step over it, and find a step on the other side that he would have to step down from onto the field of the coin.

MD's "step" is from where the die bounced ad plowed into the side of the actual letter/number, flattening a part of the element into a step. Thus the original element also is thinner that it should be.

Like the other coin in your thread, this one is also displaying Machine Doubling. A true Doubled Die would increase the size of the devices, not reduce them like Machine Doubling would.
