Quote: Here, north of Boston, I was just able to put in an order for four boxes of pennies through Salem Five bank. Very nice! Quote: I'll continue to do so until it's totally cut off. Enjoy it while you can. When you get your last box of cents, you will not know that it is your last box of cents. Quote: Hoping for a few 2025 boxes to store away Good luck.

Ironically, my local CU just suspended cent deposits because their vaults are getting full. The Fed bank won't take their cents anymore, and customers are not withdrawing them.
I still have my friend's 50000 cents to search this winter. Veeeery slowly.

Brandmeister, Sounds like the perfect scenario. Hope they would be willing to sell a lot of them to you.

Her expectation is that I wrap them and deposit them for cash when I'm done. Where am I going to do that if banks aren't taking them anymore?

Brandmeister, If you check around I am sure many banks would be glad to take your cents. You can also get rid of some of them in Coinstar machines if you could use gift certs to any of the listed companies. I remodeled my master bath using home depot and lowes gift cards from cents turned into Coinstar.

Update for those having trouble finding Lincoln cents to hunt. I went to a small town bank in a very small town. It is not owned by a bigger bank. It has only one location. I was able to score a $50 bag of cents today. This may be a strategy that everyone can employ in order to find some stock to hunt.

I went to 5 banks yesterday and this is what happened. Wells Fargo - only sold me 2 rolls, Chase Bank 5 rolls, Key Bank 4 rolls, finally a different Wells Fargo bank 32 rolls. All said the same thing, they order boxes but aren't being shipped any. I sold a sealed box at my coin club meeting on Tuesday for $50 in our live auction.

At the risk of starting a stampede, I will let you all in on a little secret: Keep in mind that there is a limit of twenty sets per order and shipping will be $3.95 per set!
