So I found this 1958 Wheat cent that is dirty or tarnished or ? But it is so bad I can't see past the green to actually view the devices or field or basically 2/3's of it. What can I do here to remedy this issue..help is appreciated!!
The copper in it is worth ~ 3 cents, but there is no numismatic premium associated with this coin. Don't waste your time or acetone on it - toss it in your wheatie pile.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures
Take to the sink under hot running water and rub it between your fingers. Add a little dish soap if needed. This is a low value coin, you can buy a red MS one for a song. It's just not worth any effort.
