1940 10 Cents - French Indochina, Die Cracks/Deterioration, And Unknown

MintedNotPrinted Pillar of the Community United States 1182 Posts	Posted 10/21/2025 12:13 am Coin is nickel, 99% chance struck at the San Francisco mint, for reference. The Die Deterioration is extreme on this one for sure. I'd thought there was a rotated clash at first, but it looks like a Dremel bit went to it up close... odd. The features on the edge have me thoroughly confused. I thought it was jewelry mount damage, but it looks as though there are die cracks and deterioration flow lines within the affected area. Some kind of collar failure maybe, or just coincidental? Thanks for looking: Report this Post to the Staff
