The Moon/Eagle is on the 1971~1974 and 1977~1978 Eisenhower dollars. It is also on the 1979~1981 and 1999 Susan B. Anthony dollars. The 1975 & 1976 Eisenhower dollars (both years were dated 1776-1976) have the Moon/Bell reverse.

On the Ike, the Eagle / Moon reverse was 1971 - 1974 then the bicentennial had the Liberty Bell / Moon reverse then in '77 and '78 returned to the Eagle / Moon reverse.

The Kennedy half had the Independence Hall reverse.

The quarter had a Colonial drummer with victory torch on the reverse.

I think the Susan B. Anthoney dollars has this design on the reverse also, I think the years are 1979, 1980,1981, 1999. I could be wrong with the dates, but I'm pretty sure that the susan dollar has this design.

I think this has to do with the 1969 Apollo 11 flight for the Lunar module named the Eagle. for mans first landing on the moon.

Glued to the TV watching. I was a big space program freak in the 60's and 70's. I'm not as much of a space nerd today but I am still a strong supporter of the program.

I vaguely remember black and white images on the tv , I would have been too young to know what it all meant but my parents sure made the effort to educate us in these things.
