*** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***Down to the last 3 open holes in my Jefferson nickel albums, I had been on an intense campaign this summer, buying 10 to 20 nickel rolls at a time at the local bank branch. I even brought the albums once to show the tellers, so they understood the reason, as they sometimes had to retrieve an extra full nickel box from the vault to fill my request. I still need the 3, but the hunt resulted in a several Buffalo and Silver War Nickels and some foreign coins. The most surprising finds were these 3 Liberty V nickels used before the Buffalo type.

Well found indeed. I found a few of those V-nickels during my 390,000 coin searched quest to complete the Jefferson nickel series from local bank rolls. What 3 Jefferson dates are you missing?

Nickelsearcher, the 3 I need are 1938 S, 1939 D and 1950 D. I don't think I can find them in bank rolls.

Thanks, Dearborn, they weren't found together, but separate batches of bankrolls, which was really strange.

You still can find them. I found a 1938 S last year and a 1950 D earlier this year going through a box of nickels.

Old Codger NJ,
You can find all of the Jeffersons in CRH. It will take a lot of hunting to find some of them. My son and I have searched many hundreds of thousands of CRH nickels. The three hardest to find are the 1950D (2), the 1938S (4), and the 1943D (5). For all of the others, we have found at least 8 of them.
