Great notes, NumisRob, walk2dwater and SchwarzerEinser! I'm lacking in interesting world notes from the early '50's, but will share this 1953-C series $5 U.S. Legal Tender note. Fr#1535*, P-381c.

A US $2 note similar to @walk, but with a ton of circulation wear.

Quote: Excellent pair!.. Nice notes so far! .. Great notes, NumisRob, walk2dwater and SchwarzerEinser! -Thanks guys! Quote: My "picks" for 1953 are these two Dutch banknotes: Those are a couple of beauties you don't see very often! Quote: A US $2 note similar to @walk, but with a ton of circulation wear. Gotta love a note with character @Spence! For 1952 I have one of their first editions, a 5 Rupees featuring QEII from Ceylon, P-51 & this note has been around the block too: https://en.numista.com/454118My 2nd note is also a first edition $1.00 P-324Aa from Hong Kong: (It appears as if I forgot to get the image of the reverse). Nice examples SchwarzerEinser and walk2dwater. That $2 LTN has been around the block a time or two, Spence!

Quote: A nice pair! ...Nice examples SchwarzerEinser and walk2dwater. always nice to see the young Queen! -Thanks guys! Quote: today's notes are French again Those French designs are gorgeous @SchwarzerEinser For 1951 I have this 200 Pesos (P-140a) from the Philippines which features President Manuel Quezon (who is later on their 20 Pesos): https://en.numista.com/213226My 2nd entry for 1951 is a One Rupee P-47 from Ceylon, featuring the queen's father, King George VI. I picked this note up with the 5 Rupees (I posted yesterday) from 1952. It is in much better shape (about Unc). https://en.numista.com/267314The back features an image of the moonstone steps flanked by guard stones in Polonnaruwa. I saw a nature show on Sri Lanka and this Buddhist temple featured & it looked like a possible "bucket list" destination for me, much like Angkor Wat. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polonnaruwa_Vatadage
