Nice German note, SchwarzerEisner!
Here's a 1925 Spanish 100-peseta note. The front shows King Philip II of Spain with the great monastery-palace of El Escorial that he had constructed. On the reverse he can be seen supervising the building work from the chair that gave him a view of the construction site.

@NumisRob
A very cool Spanish note, but I especially like your French note from 1926!

-------

As hyperinflation came to an end in 1923/24, many German notes from those years are now very rare and expensive.

I'd like to share an affordable but beautiful set from the first Reichsmark series of 1924.

This series is also known as the Holbein series, because all of the portraits are based on paintings by the famous artist Hans Holbein the Younger (1497-1543). According to Wikipedia, he is considered one of the greatest portraitists of the 16th century.

Germany - P# 175-179 - 10-1000 Reichsmark 1924

It's been a while since I've been able to post, but today I can share my penultimate banknote of the 20th century. 1923 Germany 20,000 Mark Reichsbanknote P-85a. It's a common, large-sized hyperinflation note with an uninspiring design, although the color gradients are pretty.
