I dont want to falsely accused anyone of anything so I'm leaving the name out, but I had someone stay with me earlier this year and when they left I noticed to my coins had scratch marks on the dates where they were trying to read the dates of my coins. I later ran into this same person who had jars full of Buffalo nickels and just books of old bank notes... It was an excessive amount. Person said they bought them all over the years but the scratches on my coins make me think otherwise. I live in South Mississippi and just wanted to put this out there in case they were actually stolen and someone maybe trying to find them.

You may want to consider contacting local law enforcement--at a minimum to have the alleged activity 'on the record'.

And tell them what? "Somebody may have scratched my coins"? I'm guessing the Dispatcher would pass that off as a prank call.

Well just on my coins in general. The hat of buffaloes didn't come from me cause I only had a few but mine could be them.
