Good afternoon, everyone! I'm from Russia myself, and I wanted to find like-minded people on my many topics. At the moment, my priority is coins used for trade with China, the so-called coins with Chinese Chop marks. This branch also included American Trade dollars, issued specifically for this purpose! I use the following literature - I am attaching a scan of my new catalog for 2023 Yours sincerely!

Got it! it's still difficult for me to navigate your forum, so thank you for your help. At the same time, I will exhibit my selection of coins on this topic!

Welcome, it's nice to meet another collector of chopmarked coins. Not too many of us out there, but we're growing in number.

Welcome, it's nice to meet another collector of chopmarked coins. Not too many of us out there, but we're growing in number.
Greetings! I am glad to meet you and also a colleague in coin collecting with Chop stamps.
Yes, you're right, about 5 years ago I bought these coins 3-4 times cheaper than now
They were considered spoiled by us, and when I bought them, the sellers twisted them at my temple and told each other that we were crazy.
Yes, I have a close friend of mine who lives next to me, and so it turned out that he has this topic too, and we cooperated with him and get these coins together.
He has the same thing as me, and the second theme in common with me is the guerrilla banknotes of the Philippines. In general, that's how it happens!

I pick up chopmarked US Trade dollars now and then. They used to be less expensive. Some are so heavily chopped that they are cupped and nearly unreadable. I have one of these in a belt buckle.

We have coins with a large number of CHOP stamps on sale, so it's not even clear whose country's coin and what face value it is. But they are very expensive here...
