1909 Wheat Penny To Kick Off The New Year

To kick off the new year I searched a few rolls of pennies and managed to find this 1909 cent. Unfortunately no mint mark or VDB, and while the reverse looks in good shape, the obverse isn't and the coin looks environmentally damaged.

Hard to grade it with the gunk on it. Try an acetone soak and a light scrub with a soft toothbrush. You won't hurt the surface of that coin by doing so. A good candidate for Verdi-Care too if you have any.

I did a light scrub and the reverse stuff mostly came off but the front dtuff won't.
