Hello, and thanks in advance for the help.

I recently purchased this online and for the most part I really like it!

But... there seems to be a few spots of damage on the obverse that I'm concerned about and frankly surprised it straight graded if it is post mint damage. Is it? Or is this some sort of mint damage? I'm not sure what to make of it. The reverse seems super clean to me.

The booger is exactly what I was thinking

Honestly.. I don't mind if it is mint damage, lamination or otherwise... but it will bug me if it is PMD. The one on his neck seems like a lamination issue given the sharper edges but I can't tell on the nose. I've looked at it from every angle, ones I can't get on camera and it seems like it is more lifted off than hit off but I'm certainly no expert.

eh, who am I kidding I'll probably buy another one that doesn't have the issues if I come across it

110 year old coin and copper is soft so those are just extremely minor blemishes that are common on 64 BN cents.

I commend you on your photo approach. One of the slab, full size of the coin both sides then in-focus detail shots. Well done.

I agree with the others that this is not unusual. If the marks bother you then sell it as-is with a clean conscience and purchase another.

Great pictures! No concerns, PCGS is hard on "damaged" coins. The only thing that's a bit concern is on the nose, I can't tell from the pictures what's going on: damage with displaced metal, die chip, or a retained lamination peel. Again, it passed PCGS' test, so it's probably fine.

Nice BN coin!
