Came across another nice RIDB (the spiked head is a bonus) while sorting through some of the coins I set aside my first year of CRH
Lincoln's entire ear is filled with the RIDB, while I'm thinking the blob on "W" would be considered a large die chip.
Again, no match on C.O.C. that I see

That thin line goes over part of the W. Interesting.

Is that thin line a glue string? Maybe the part in the ear was glued in place and the thin line is a glue string that is strung over part of the W.
That little glob on the W might be glue. Acetone may remove the line if it is glue.
Every time I use airplane glue I get little glue strings attached to everything. Just a thought.

Steve K;
No, the long thin line is definitely a die crack.
What looks to possibly be something - going from the center of the W pointing NW - is actually a tiny stain.
The blob on the right part of the W is also definitely metal, not glue, etc.
I will, however, soak the penny in acetone anyway. There is a little "earwax" around the RIDB. So, just to be 100% sure.

If you were 182, you'd need a hearing aid, too! =P

Thank You, Everyone!

Steve K;
I soaked the penny in acetone overnight. Everything remained in tack!

I am sorry but the thing in his ear looks out of place to me. If you magnify just the head the thing in the ear looks a different color than the rest of his head. To me anyway. May be I need more coffee.
