This omission means that the cent is likely exclusive to the mint set, which is priced at $124.50, and was capped at 190,000 last year.
The 1909 S VDB may lose its lofty perch as the key date Lincoln relatively soon. Edited by 1910S_1C 01/16/2026 8:59 pm

Quote: The 1909 S VDB may lose its lofty perch as the key date Lincoln relatively soon. I don't know about that. The 09-S VDB is an actual circulated coin. To me this 2026 Cent is going to be more of a "Medal/Commemorative type coin and the date will not be included in an album as an actual business strike hole to be filled.

No one calls the 1996-W dime a key date, now do they?
I think this is going to be a similar situation, where it's technically the rarest but it's just not in most albums. I think it's also a commemorative design, so that would help.

I will still get mine. Being a key date does not matter to me.

You would think the greedy Mint would offer bags and rolls for a steep premium.

To get it you're going to have to spend upwards of $100 on a mint set or what is going to likely be in the hundreds of dollars on the secondary markets, given the limited mintage of the mint sets.

I am subscribed to get all the Mint sets—uncirculated, clad proof, silver proof. I recommend you subscribe if you want to ensure you get the sets to get the cents. Assuming you want proof. You can go cheap and get the clad proof set since the cent in the silver proof set is a duplicate.

I just subscribed to both proof sets, but the Uncirculated set is "remind me". Why the heck is a subscription "remind me"? Don't they mint these things to demand?

The mint limits the number of sales through subscription so these items will also be available the day of release. With the increase in pricing, I can see some dropping the number on their subscription order so you may see some of these subscriptions open up in between.

I am glad my subscription is still active. I fear the subscription option will not come back (or if it does from drops, it will be a tight window) and there will be 5 minute sellout on release day!
