Last I knew, PCGS and NGC were not only the top tier, but pretty much the only ones considered worthy. Has that changed? I'm hearing about CAC being top tier also.

Some forum members here have switched from PCGS to CAC grading.
Here's a quote from their website...

"In November 2007, CAC was founded by leading members of the numismatic community to establish stringent standards for quality within a grade. Fifteen years later in 2022, CAC formed a Grading Service, utilizing the same stringent standards with an unparalleled level of expertise to every submitted coin."

I haven't tried them yet personally...but I think my next submission might go through them.

Let's see what others have to say...seems like their auction returns are very convincing.

A few folks here are real CACG proponents. Their slabs do seem to sell pretty well on ebay. In fact, I think my first grading submissions might go to CAC in a few weeks. They do grade pretty hard, though, particularly on strike quality.

I would like to hear more about their $99 membership, and whether that does really get fully refunded as grading credits. Also quite curious about their policy of cutting the variety attribution fee in half if the variety is correctly identified by the submitter.

Well, what they say about themselves isn't really a good measure...What's anyone going to say? "We are at best a 4th tier grading company, and we may or may not get your coin graded correctly, but that doesn't bother us."

I get that this is the wrong place for this question, but; There doesn't appear to be anyplace on this site that indicates you have messages or replies to your posts.. There almost always is on these forums. Am I missing it?

I also find this forum hard to navigate. There's WAAAYY too much stuff to look at to be able to easily find anything. Hence why this topic I started got moved.
