A few years ago, I purchased this Denarius of Commodus at a coin show. I think I paid about $225CDN for it. Found out its a rare type. Its in Good Very Fine condition. I am not sure what its worth now. What do you think of it?

(180-192AD) Denarius. Rome mint, struck 185/6AD.
COMM ANT AVG P BRIT, laureate head of Commodus to right / P M TR P XII (or XI ?) IMP VII COS V P P around, FID EXERC below, Commodus standing left on platform, holding scepter with his left hand, his right hand raised, addressing three armed soldiers standing right.

Ancient coins that are "rare" are actually very common. Your coin is also in mediocre condition. There are dozens of examples that have sold recently on ACsearch...below are a few with prices realized.
