Dearborn, when I started looking I was examining the date in relation to the denticles and the high O. from that point I just scrolled down the listing looking for 'far date, high/very high O'. I only settled at VAM-16 because the look of the dates matched. my guess may not be right, but that's a reasonable place to start looking for other markers. I think it's a round O, not an oval O. Quote: These would be good starter pics, would they not, MrPink? i think so... however, I'm no expert and am barely beyond a novice when it comes to VAMs. Quote: I got a photo of each image that relates to the Reference page. you da mang. see if you can find some of those other markers on your coin. ugh... I feel like I'm telling you what to do... I'm sure you know what to do & I don't need to be giving orders. i hope you can identify it. it's a gorgeous coin worthy of identifying it's VAM classification.

Quote: Looks like your 'O' is more oval then round like mine CFM. That would be the medium O, unlike yours which is the small o, that was what he was getting at.
