Now, I just have to sit down with the label maker to make some labels, break the slabs/open the capsules and put them in the blank Dansco album pages with the correct labels.I can't wait to do this with my kids helping me!
I can't wait to see them in the album...but I guess I'll have to..

@iamwayne Your list looks great as you have it. The 2026 Congratulations Set ASE will be known with or without OGP as you say because it is P mint, unless they add a different product later with the P mint proof ASE, the Congrats Set will be the only way to get it, as the regular issue will be W mint. I too am missing the eagle privy, as I passed on my chance when I missed it when silver was sub $30 and ounce, and I was holding out for that level again. We all know what happened there. I wish I had spent the extra couple bucks now for sure.

Subscriptions for the Congratulations Set and Enhanced Uncirculated may prove to be well thought out, as both have lower production and should be in high demand.

Thanks Gilly. I feely admit I'm not looking *all* that hard.

And thank you I will try SD; I am just a JMB guy normally (honestly it's just more convenient for me with the payment methods I have set up with them).

I am banking on the fact that my subscription to the Uncirculated will get me the EU. Looks like I will need to get in line early for the Congrats set as I do not have a subscription and those are closed.

I will note that WAYYYYYY back in 2017, the only way to get the S-proof oringinally was the Congrats set, until they decided to add it to the LESPS. I know the LESPS is not happening this year, so I will be setting my alarm.

No problem, I see when I got the eagle privy from Pinehurst, I was barely over $50 w/tax free shipping. So with the metals prices, them being at $93ish doesn't seem bad, I didn't check the whole otd price.

I'm not exactly sure it happened that way, but back then I was just getting in to Eagles, mostly stacking, not really watching the collectors market. I didn't even have the 2019 S ERP on my radar, didn't even try for one.
So I'm not sure if the exact sequence, but the Congrats usually comes first, and I don't believe 2017 was any different, I'm sure it was first. And I know it is the only year up until this year, that the Congrats set wasn't a W, so it's unique.
On the LESPS though, up until 2017, the set was a W ASE and all others were S. So *to me*, the plan all along was more than likely in place to make the LESPS an all-S set. Makes sense. And it stayed that way until the end of the set existing.

Not really important, but you can look back through topics here on the CCF if you like. A couple venerable CCF members were shouting from the rooftops to get the '17 Congrats Set because it was the only one that had the S Proof ASE, and the S-Proof ASE hadn't been seen before that since 1992. The Congrats set quickly sold out because of that. But the S-Proof ASE was again made available in the LESPS later that year. Perhaps that was the plan all along for that year, but if so it wasn't well known. And, previous to 2017, the LESPS contained the W-Proof ASE.

Regardless, my point is that this feels very similar. Maybe the P-proofs will appear later in another product. Just speculation at this point and I am definitely going to be in/on line to get one at noon when the '26 Congrats sets drop for what will be my last year of collecting ASEs.

The mintage limit for the P mint proof ASE is shown as 60,000, so it shouldn't show up later as part of another product.

I'm still waiting on the 2026 bullion in the mail so I'll have to add it when it gets here.

What I learned. ANACS slabs are easy to crack, using a flat head to twist around the sides and it'll pop open. PCGS slabs are a pain to crack and takes a lot of force using slip joint pliers.

The capsules in the OGP are a pain to take out of the felt-lined plastic holders. I had to push it out by taking the plastic holder out and pushing it from the rear. The capsules themselves are a pain too. Banging them on the table didn't work well, I had to use a razor blade of most of them to separate it enough to get my finger nail in to open it...

And when the capsule finally opens with prying force, the silver eagles will fly out and hit the table. The sound of a silver eagle hitting the table with that unique ping sound always makes me cringe when it's unintentional.

I took some quick pictures.

I already completed the American Silver Eagle Type 1 bullion in a Dansco album. I'm trying to look into starting the Type 1 burnish uncirculated or the Type 1 proof, but some of those are very costly, way beyond my budget.

I just purchased the Dansco Silver Dollars album. I'm going to doing the same with the modern day 2021+ Morgan and Peace dollars. There is something about it being in an album and flipping the pages that feels really nice which slabs and OGP cannot give you.

Not true. If you are comparing apples to apples, the 2017 S was available in these 2 sets.
There is a 2012 S proof as well, which was also available only in 2 sets.
True regular production S proofs didn't actually resume until 2018. It was nice having both S and W proofs in regular production until last year.
I'll look in to the 2017S releases.

So just a short visit to the 2017 press release section reveals that "the truth was out there" in advance of the Congrats set releases. I didn't look through this site. Many times I've seen incorrect or at least incomplete info on it. I am still interested in searching through any coin info that may be available online from this time, to see if they were referring to this press release.

One article showing in May 2017, that the info was out there. They didn't know what the production number was yet. I'm sure everyone knew that the Congrats set was the cheapest alternative, costing then as now, barely more than a normal clamshell release. I bet the biggest reason why it cost more is they need (needed) to use a larger box to ship it in.

Yes, I forgot about the 2012 SF sets. I was going off of my (obviously) suspect memory. Now that I'm in front of my spreadsheets and your extensive research, I see that I was wrong. Good articles.

All I know for certain is that I have a 2017-S ASE in my 2017 LESPS. Only 2017-S I have. Dispute that.

I'll shut up now.

The 2012S is really a "sleeper". I have the 2 coin S set, and 2 Making American History Sets (typically the cheap way to get it, as many people don't understand it). One sealed and one opened. Plus what I call an "orphan", just in the mint capsule, sprung from a 2 coin set more than likely. Actually if you can find one like that it's probably the cheapest, unless you find a deal on a graded 69 example with no provenance attached to it.
