Hi All!

I'm new here and you all have been so helpful as I've read through many of your posts and questions. My grandmother passed last year at 103 and she had stamps & coins collections. I've been sorting through them and came across this one id like your feedback on about possible die plate error? 1962 UK Shilling I'll upload photos. Thank so much and look forward to communicating with all you more and learning as well. Thanks!!

Your Shilling is not an error, it has been damaged
and is only worth face value in that condition.

to the CCF, Lillian76.
As JimmyD stated, your coin is simply damaged.

These coins were demonetized on 31 December 1990 so it's no longer worth face value.

@Lillian76 - - from far to the north and over the border. ...

As others have mentioned, your 1962 one shilling coin is suffering from PMD.
