I'm retiring from acquiring! Please note my new temporary signature below...Good Stuff for collectors of 19th-century British and Canadian colonial exonumia.
Meanwhile, here's one of my scarcer silver tokens of the Regency Period, a three-shillings piece issued in 1811 to celebrate the ascension of the Prince of Whales to his Regency on the occasion of his father's final descent into "instability."
Davis and Dalton both list this token (35mm, 15g) as Not Local 4, RR. It appears unvalued in Withers/Galata TB1, no doubt because it so seldom appears on the market.
