I'll be getting all 'ALL' of my lower teeth removed today and to have my jaw re-contoured to remove some very large Mandibular tori. All in preparation for some implants in a few months.. Gonna be a fun next few days (months?)..

Yikes! Best of wishes with that. I have a hint for you - it will hurt less if you keep your mouth closed while at the dental office.

Yow! My utmost sympathy and best wishes, Dearborn! I'm down to one pair of molars after the most recent extraction (January), and not looking forward to implants.

Good luck man, I've been ignoring my teeth for years. Ugh. I would've figured you'd be having your foot removed though.... or would that be a podiatrist job?

Good Luck! (and may your surgeon be as good as the one that removed 2 of my wisdom teeth when I was 45 years old...I didn't remember a thing)

Thanks for following up Nickelsearcher I feel great, no pain (and not taking any pain pills 'yet') I have always had a very high threshold for tolerating pain of any level (remember when I got caught in a fire ball and went to work the next day) However we'll have to wait until tomorrow to see how the pain is then. (yes, I'm going to work tomorrow too) Recovery will be just fine for me (I hope) - I usually heal up quickly. When I had all my uppers yanked out all in one sitting, I was healed up (wound and socket holes) in a week with another 2 months for the regrowth of bone to fill in the sockets. And the help with that, I took 3 water bottles and added 1 table spoon to each one, shook them up and kept one in the kitchen (by the sink and one each in both bathrooms for a quick salt water rinse and dump to keep everything clean and bug free (bacteria) I'll be bringing an additional one to work tomorrow too.

I'm glad the oral surgery went well, Dearborn! Hopefully the pain won't be too bad tomorrow and your healing goes smoothly!
