Good call Mike - time for an update.
I'm ~2 months post the 2nd surgery and have regained about 85% of my original right arm mobility and strength with significant PT and home exercises.
So, my general everyday life activities using my arm are good again. I'm even doing light work in my woodworking shop.
The bad news is that the infection destroyed the surgeons original ligament repair - an unfortunate fact that I did not grasp in my drug addled April reply above.
So, my right elbow is essentially back to the damaged state it was prior to the first surgery.
I need to decide if I'm up for a 3rd surgery to replace the damage or just accept this and move on.
For me - life is good. My arm limitations are not in the way of enjoying a great wife and loving family, solid home and fabulous community of friends.
