I had pondered this before, but custom (sort of) Dansco albums.

For example, you have a 1909-2009 Lincoln Cent album, with proofs.
The proofs start at 1975, obviously, since these are the proof only issues.

However, if one were so inclined, you could use the first four labeled pages, and then add blank ones, thereby being able to sort of "customize" your set and add the proofs where you see fit. Instead of having proofs start at 1975, you could have them start at 1959, or whatever other type you prefer. It would probably be better to have a label maker for such an endeavor, though.

This could work with Jefferson nickels, too, or any other coin that has the same type of scenario.
Or, I mean... you could get a blank Dansco album and build them any way you want. I'd have to say though if you are doing pages and pages, or an entire album of blank pages, I feel a label maker would be highly beneficial. A page or two? Not really a big deal to me.

As someone with pages and pages (and pages) like these, he lack of labels bothers me from time to time, but not enough to have actually done something about it in the past 20 years. .

Label maker sure looks better than my handwriting, which just seems to get worse over time and lack of use.
I use my label maker for my blank CAPS pages, too.

I bought most of Dansco albums with proofs but kind of regret it. I bought the Lincoln albums without and added blank pages for proofs (1950-1958) and 1959-present including specials like the W and reverse proofs. I think it actually looks better this way.

Plus now that silver is through the roof, I've backed off buying all of the silver proof coins. I am considering getting the non-proof albums and swapping.

My Jefferson nickels (Dansco 7113) and Roosevelt dimes (Dansco 7125) albums are done this way. I added blank pages for the proofs. They do look sharp in a full page.
