Finally getting back to trying to build a large cent collection. I know this coin is well worn but I'm excited about getting it. I should have it by the end of next week.

Thanks. I can't wait for it to get here. I've been thinking that I need to try to catalog the Large cents I have. Are there any online sites for helping with Newcomb numbers?

Great purchase! I'm currently working on assembling a Large Cent collection. My goal is to purchase almost all of them. Some I won't be able to get, due to rarity and high prices.

Yeah. This was the poorest one they had at G4. One of the 1794s they had is over $3k for VF-20.

It's crazy how expensive those Large Cents are in higher grades. The 1804 for example, even in lower grades, is a couple hundred dollars if you want one. It's a key date in the Draped Bust Large Cent series.

Large cents from the 1700's are always great to acquire.

All the early 1800s they have at the place I got the 1798 from are $300+ for F-12. I did get a few other ones as well. Mid to later large cents where the price point match Numismedia for the most part. The 1798 was cheaper than Numismedia has. I don't want to say where I ordered from until the transaction completes because it is more like a private sale than a store transaction.
