Opinions on what's going on with "WE TRUST"? Too much grease in the die? No other issues on the obverse or the reverse noticed. This was in a roll(and entire box) of brand new BU bank wrapped rolls of all 2023 D's. This one stood out because it looks thicker than the rest and its a much rougher look than every other coin in the box, not BU like the rest. I weighed it, but it's a normal weight.

Looks like an over polished die issue, along with Die Deterioration. https://www.error-ref.com/thinning-...gn-elements/

yep, that is what I was thinking also - an over polished die - have you looked to see if there are any clash remnants?

Cool. I'm thinking Die Deterioration is playing a role here.
