I know that this little beauty will only bring a few bucks, but it is so beautiful I just have to see what grade you'll give. She doesn't look near as good as she does in the hand, the finish reminds me of some of those old Morgan silver dollar one that are blast white!

First one I've ever seen, so no comment on grade. Just wondering if 1 Koruna is relevant to our dollar or cent? A Chex coin while under USSR rule, right?

Did you wash your fingers yet?

The 1 Koruna is .047 of a US dollar & the simple answer to your question as to if Czechoslovakia was under USSR control at that time is no.

The long answer is:

In 1938 the German dictator Adolf Hitler attached the Sudetenland to Germany. Soon the Germans seized the whole country (Czechoslovakia).

In 1945, as World War II was ending, the army of the Soviet Union freed Czechoslovakia from Germany.

Czechoslovakia came under Soviet Union (USSR) rule on February 25, 1948, following a communist coup d'etat.

Now go wash your fingers!!!

Thanks for dropping in Errers and Varietys! I can see from my lousy photos and agree with your grade of 64-65, however, in the hand I think one could give it a 66?

Have a great day!!!
