Came across this Jefferson nickel that appears to a RRDB obverse and reverse from abot 9k to 3k. What are your thoughts?

Great find! Appears to be almost a Rim To Rim Die Crack/Split Die. https://www.error-ref.com/median-bi...g-split-die/

Agreed. Interesting to have split dies on both faces. Looks like there is evidence of previous clashes that got scraped out, and then some fresh clashes, too. Neat find! =)

Thanks all. I checked Cuds on coins before I put this up on here and nothing. I'm thinking maybe a feeded malfunction caused the dies to clash a number of times before anyone noticed the problem. The dies were probably replaced in short order. Otherwise similar examples of this one would been found by now. The progression would have been interesting.
It's on ebay now.

Your theory seems plausible. That pair of dies was fading fast, and was accumulating more clashing as it went.
