This is an example of when too much magnification makes you see things that are just products of the minting process and circulation that one usually doesn't see.

Right - you ask about the mintmark then don't post a close-up of it, how can we tell? Here's a website to look up RPM's - Variety Vista - http://www.varietyvista.com/

Seems MD is possible..........actually it should be MB - "Machine Bounce"! Doggone it - tighten them T-bolts!

I see Machine Doubling on the mint mark, plus circulation flattening as well. Other than that, nothing else.
