Hello everyone,
I would like to ask for your expert opinion on this coin: USSR 2 Kopeks 1934.
The special feature is a dot above the letter "#1081;" in the word "#1089;#1086;#1077;#1076;#1080;#1085;#1103;#1081;#1090;#1077;#1089;#1100;", which makes it look different from the standard type.
Please check the attached photos carefully.
I have already asked on Ukrainian numismatic forums (such as Violity), but they replied that this is just a regular circulation coin. However, I believe this is not correct, since the design clearly shows visible differences compared to the usual type.
My questions to the community:
- Have you ever seen this variety in your collecting experience?
- Is it mentioned in any catalogs (Fedorin, Konros, etc.)?
- How rare do you think this variety might be, and what could be its potential value?
Any feedback or references would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!
