I have a BCS certified (Choice UNC) 64 Original - serial INU6690699. I was wondering if anyone could give me an approximate valuation.

More importantly than it being a repeater, the fact that it is a rotator (SWIMS note) adds the value to the note. These are hard to obtain but value would probably be in excess of $200.00. I didn't research the value so it may be even higher. Could you supply a photo so that we could see it, they don't come up very often as there are only 127 rotators in every series of 10 million notes.

It is not a repeater but it is a rotator. Not that it is relevant (a rotator trumps a repeater) but a 4 cycle repeater would be 6690669. A photo & note whether it is "Original" is also relevant.

There was a recent I think it was TCNC auction, there was many rotators, most had no bids, they are hard to sell stick it in a good auction and hope. In spring Bell auction next week a solid 5 is available the second most coveted special serial # my best guess about 7 to 10% of the solid 5 but the solid 5 will sell

As requested - I have attached a photograph of the note.

As stated by walk2dwater, BCS got it wrong, that is not a repeater, I failed to notice that in my previous post., concentrating more on the rotator.

Quote: There was a recent I think it was TCNC auction, there was many rotators, most had no bids, they are hard to sell stick it in a good auction and hope. -It is unfortunate but true that rotators can be a "hard sell." I think that true rotators just haven't caught on in popularity like radar-rotators (0888880 for example). Collectors are a lazy bunch. Many want to see something flashy without needing to turn the note upside-down. I think collector appetite is also dampened by the buyers premium + taxes & even surcharges if you're not paying via the payment method of the house. Then, if the auction contains series that go way back, deep-pocket collectors will go for these first. Or somebody might reach for an expensive note & be tapped out. And it is mostly younger collectors who value special serial numbers (& they have enough expenses so hobbies like this take a beating during inflationary times like these).

Nice rotator @4Mango4
I wish I could give you an accurate ballpark figure (estimate on value) but I just don't know what that one would fetch right now. My current Charlton puts it at $175 but I think it would be closer to $150 tbh (but again, this figure is just a complete guess).

Thank you for the very useful feedback.
It just shows that you need to check the grading description. I would not have noticed the repeater, until you pointed it out. I must check my other notes.

I have had about 150 notes graded by Steve & he made a couple minor mistakes. It happens. He will correct the label but you have to pay for the shipping (I think). Best to call him (if you live nearby drop it off) but if it were me, I'd probably leave "as is." Personally, I think you should keep this note (& not sell). You will do better as more young collectors enter the hobby & appetites grow for special # & polymer. These series were often scratched so its a bonus you got an "Original" designation.

Great advice - I will not sell and leave as is.

If BCS were so distracted that they got "Comments: Rotator, 4 cycle REPEATER" wrong then there's no reason not to believe that they got the grade "Choice UNC 64 Original" wrong too. Quote: Collectors are a lazy bunch. am not I like 6's & 9's better. The whole enjoyment of having a rotator is the fun of having to turn the banknote upside-down to see the magic.
