Heaps of Lincoln Memorials (alas, I had them all but got some upgrades), about 25 Wheat Pennies (of which one was new) and most surprising of all, 8 Indian Heads including a 1908 S!. Seems more to the left than it ought to be. What do you think? The one on the left is a PCGS slabbed specimen which does have a similar S though different position. With over 1.1 million minted there is sure to be more than one reverse die used. The mintmarks were hand stamped so locations may differ. Report this Post to the Staff

I'm more concerned about the lack of a thick center section and the rounded open space in the top loop. It's subtle, but it doesn't look like a genuine S mintmark.
